Maianthemum stellatum (Smilacina stellata)

Maianthemum stellatum (Smilacina stellata)

A Solomon's Seal relative, that once settled down forms a handsome woodland coloniser, (even in very dry shade), with deciduous foliage unfurling dramatically in spring. Later in the season the flowers, borne in terminal clusters, appear - small, starry and cream coloured; these turning into green fruits that ripen to red. 30-45cm (12-18").
