Ranunculus acris subsp. citrinus

Ranunculus acris subsp. citrinus

This pale-flowered form of our native Meadow Buttercup has a subtle beauty and charm. Its flowers are freely produced in May to June, on stems 30-60cm (1-2ft) tall, each individual flower of the palest shining lemon-yellow. Do not allow to self sow otherwise the resultant seedlings will be a mix of predominately typical yellow flowers with only the odd pale yellow thrown in. A moisture-retentive soil is best
